Websites that hold up
Written by hand rather than assembled in a page builder, so they load fast and stay secure. Your team edits the content itself, and we keep everything underneath running.
Websites, automation and AI agents from a mountain village in the Austrian Alps. Made carefully, by the people you talk to.
Services
We start with what should change for you. Then we pick the simplest thing that gets you there, and build it well. Pick what fits best.
Written by hand rather than assembled in a page builder, so they load fast and stay secure. Your team edits the content itself, and we keep everything underneath running.
Quotes, invoices, intake forms, weekly reports. The work your team repeats by hand starts running on its own, connected to the tools you already use.
Assistants that answer enquiries and draft replies inside your own systems. Every agent starts supervised and is given more freedom only once it has earned it. For sensitive data we build on purely European infrastructure.
An extra pair of hands on a project you already run. You hand us a clearly scoped piece of work, we estimate it, build it in your repository and hand it back documented. The quickest way to find out whether we suit you.
Prices are real starting points. After the intro call you get a fixed price in writing, or an estimate in hours for contract work.

Why here
Vorarlberg is a small state at the western tip of Austria, and it makes things that are not allowed to fail. The world's largest ropeway maker, Doppelmayr, is based just outside our valley, with installations in 97 countries. Many of the hinges and drawer runners in the world's kitchens come from Blum in Höchst.
Our own valley, the Bregenzerwald, is known for its craftsmen and its timber buildings: plain on the outside, exact in the joints, built to stand for generations. When the local craft association wanted a house of its own, its members built it themselves.
We build software the same way. Plain where it can be, exact where it matters, and documented so it keeps working long after we hand it over. No page-builder sprawl, and no code that only we can read.
Small on purpose. You talk to the people who build your project, not to an account manager.
Wolfurt · Rhine valley
Ropeways since 1937. More than 15,000 installations, from Alpine ski areas to city transit.
Höchst · Lake Constance
A family firm making furniture fittings since 1952, among the world's leading makers.
Andelsbuch · Bregenzerwald
About a hundred craft businesses since 1999. Their house was designed by Peter Zumthor and built by the members.
Work
Real clients from our region. Both sites are live, and both clubs update most of them themselves.
Club website · live since September 2026
The website of the traditional costume society in Hittisau, built for its hundredth year. The society publishes its own events, reports and photos through an editing area we built, without going through us.
trachtenverein-hittisau.at (German) ↗
Club website · live since May 2026
The website of the village football club. We run it and keep it current: fixtures, results and the league table update themselves, and the club doesn't have to do a thing.
fcriefensberg.at (German) ↗Made for ourselves and for people close to us.
And the tools we built for ourselves
For holiday rentals: Airbnb, Booking.com and direct bookings in one calendar on the owner's own website, where guests ask for dates without paying a commission.
See it (German) →Accessibility, security, GDPR, Google Business Profile and Austrian funding eligibility, each scanned live and explained in plain language.
Try them (German) →The editing area behind our client sites. Clubs and small businesses update their own pages without learning a CMS.
How we decide what an AI agent may do alone and what stays with a person. Written down, public, and applied to our own agents first.

Remote from the first day. You always know what is being built, what it costs and when it will be done.
Unterdorf 56 is a registered Austrian business in Riefensberg. You deal with its owner, start to finish.
Today
We talk about your business and what should change. By video, or by email if you prefer to write.
Within a week
You get a written proposal: what we build, what it costs, when it will be ready. The price is agreed before any work starts. Contract work gets an estimate in hours instead.
2 to 4 weeks
You follow the progress on a preview link and tell us what works and what does not. If you have copy and images, send them. Everything else we take care of.
After that
You get every login and a clear explanation of how things work. Small changes you make yourself. For anything bigger, write to us.
Jan from Riefensberg is behind Unterdorf 56. No agency, no subcontractors.
No account manager, no ticket queue. The person you write to is the person doing the work.
Every agent starts supervised and earns its freedom. The rules are public (German).
Questions
Yes. Everything we do works remotely: the intro call by video, feedback in writing, code in a shared repository. We work in English and German, on Central European Time, which overlaps with the working day from London to Istanbul and with the morning on the US East Coast.
A complete business website, or the automation of one workflow, typically starts there. The final price depends on three things: the scope, how custom it has to be, and what you can supply yourself (copy, images, access). After the intro call you get a fixed price in writing. No hidden costs, no surprises on the invoice.
You describe the task and we estimate it in hours before we start. We bill the hours actually worked, once a month. If an estimate is about to be exceeded, you hear from us first. Most of the collaboration happens in writing: tickets, pull requests and short written updates.
We are based in Austria and work under the GDPR. For AI projects with sensitive data we can build on purely European infrastructure, so no data leaves the EU.
No long forms. Tell us what you are working on, and we will suggest a time for the intro call.
We reply within 2 working days.
